I’ve published hundreds of personal and reported essays over the years, covering topics as wide ranging as breast cancer reconstruction, cutaneous horns, dating after diagnosis, losing my mother and spending the night in a haunted hotel.
My travel essays have appeared in the Chicago Times, Christian Science Monitor, Florida Sun-Sentinel, Seattle Times, Southern Living, Washington Post and elsewhere. I’ve contributed to a handful of anthologies.
My series of funny reported stories on the Seattle dating scene resulted in Sasquatch Books asking me to write a guide for the modern, mangled single, How to Date in a Post-Dating World. My Single Shot column for the Seattle P-I led to Seal Press asking me to edit the anthology, Single State of the Union: Single Women Speak Out on Love, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness.
